About the position

As the Strategy Execution Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic and operational alignment across all sectors in San Diego, as well as supporting sectors outside of San Diego. This position is designed for a dynamic leader who can manage strategic programs, lead continuous improvement projects, and implement transformative initiatives, including strategic partnerships. You will act as the right hand to the Head of the San Diego Site, managing staff operations and ensuring that the site’s strategy is effectively defined and executed. Your responsibilities will include the deployment of the site strategy at the sector level, which may involve providing support to sector heads as needed. You will manage breakthrough activities, ensuring that communication flows effectively among the San Diego site leadership team and other stakeholders. Additionally, you will organize and own the San Diego Management Team (SDMT) meetings and offsites, utilizing effective agenda management to maximize productivity. In this role, you will streamline communication and information flow within the site, assist with organizational assessments, and facilitate reorganizations as necessary. You will also drive overarching business processes such as long-term capability planning, strategic workforce planning, and follow-up on employee engagement surveys. Your focus will be on operational efficiency and optimization, identifying process synergies and best practices, while acting as the eyes and ears for leadership on site-wide topics and global initiatives that impact San Diego.

Responsibilities

  • Drive definition and implementation of the San Diego site strategy.
  • Deploy strategy at the sector level, providing support to sector heads as needed.
  • Manage breakthrough activities, leading, monitoring, or participating as required.
  • Ensure effective communication among San Diego site leadership team members and other stakeholders regarding goals, activities, and results.
  • Organize and own San Diego Management Team (SDMT) meetings and offsites, managing agendas effectively.
  • Streamline communication and information flow within the site through management of communication and organization structures.
  • Assist with organizational assessments and facilitate reorganizations within the site.
  • Drive overarching business processes such as long-term capability plans and strategic workforce planning.
  • Follow up on employee engagement surveys that are cross-functional.
  • Identify process synergies and best practices to drive operational efficiency and optimization.
  • Act as the eyes and ears for leadership regarding site-wide topics, policies, or global initiatives impacting San Diego.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MPA, or CSA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including Management, Project Management, and Change Leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in a business leadership role with a focus on executive-level advising and project execution.
  • Experience in cross-functional/sector collaboration in a challenging stakeholder landscape.
