About the position

The Chief of Staff for Astrana Health's South Market will support the SVP of Business Development and the President of the Texas Market. This role is essential for driving strategic growth in Texas, focusing on managing high-sensitivity projects and providing strategic support on financial and operational matters. The ideal candidate will possess strong program management skills and financial acumen to facilitate data-driven decisions in a value-based care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and execute strategic initiatives to grow Texas market presence in value-based care.
  • Support business development efforts by analyzing and identifying growth opportunities within new and existing partnerships.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the SVP and President, helping to set and achieve business goals.
  • Oversee large, cross-functional projects related to growth, M&A, clinical initiatives, and market expansion.
  • Manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment across departments and stakeholders.
  • Track project progress and provide regular status updates to senior leadership, addressing obstacles and coordinating resources as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to ensure effective communication and project execution.
  • Support financial planning and analysis for projects, including budget oversight, forecasting, and reporting on financial performance.
  • Develop business cases, analyze financial data, and present recommendations to drive operational efficiency and growth.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure project budgets align with strategic goals and track performance against key financial metrics.
  • Assist with creating executive materials, including presentations and reports, to support strategic and financial discussions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field; graduate degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in program management, business development, or strategic operations, ideally within the healthcare or value-based care space.
  • Strong project and program management skills, with a proven track record of leading large, complex projects.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
  • A proactive, strategic thinker who thrives in a mission-driven and collaborative environment.
