About the position

The Chief of Staff for the South Market at Astrana Health plays a pivotal role in supporting the Senior Vice President of Business Development and the President of the Texas Market. This position is essential for driving strategic growth initiatives in value-based care, managing high-sensitivity projects, and providing financial and operational support to enhance patient outcomes and improve the efficiency of healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and execute strategic initiatives to grow the Texas market presence in value-based care.
  • Support business development efforts by analyzing and identifying growth opportunities within new and existing partnerships.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the SVP and President, helping to set and achieve short- and long-term business goals.
  • Oversee large, cross-functional projects related to growth, M&A, clinical initiatives, and market expansion.
  • Manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment across departments and stakeholders.
  • Track project progress and provide regular status updates to senior leadership, addressing obstacles and coordinating resources as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to ensure effective communication and project execution.
  • Support financial planning and analysis for projects, including budget oversight, forecasting, and reporting on financial performance.
  • Develop business cases, analyze financial data, and present recommendations to drive operational efficiency and growth.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure project budgets align with strategic goals and track performance against key financial metrics.
  • Assist with creating executive materials, including presentations and reports, to support strategic and financial discussions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field; graduate degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in program management, business development, or strategic operations, ideally within the healthcare or value-based care space.
  • Strong project and program management skills, with a proven track record of leading large, complex projects.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
  • A proactive, strategic thinker who thrives in a mission-driven and collaborative environment.
