About the position

Finastra is seeking an experienced strategic leader to serve as the Special Projects Lead to the Chief Technology and Innovation Officer (CTIO). This role is pivotal in driving forward our technology and innovation agenda, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and facilitating seamless communication and collaboration within the technology organization and across the broader company. The Chief of Staff will collaborate cross-functionally with leaders across Product, HR, Finance, Legal, and more to solve challenges, driving high-priority projects and greater operational excellence. In this position, you will work closely with the CTIO to align technology and innovation initiatives with Finastra's overall strategic goals and objectives. You will provide guidance and support in the development and prioritization of technology roadmaps, innovation projects, and investment areas. Additionally, you will assist the CTIO in developing long-term technology and innovation strategies to drive business growth and optimization, bringing research, industry trends, and insights together to inform decision-making processes. You will set priorities for the CTIO agenda, helping to ensure that decisions about how the CTIO's time is spent reflect their priorities. This includes creating and maintaining systems and processes to streamline operations throughout the technology organization, managing budgets, and ensuring investments are in line with company strategy for infrastructure and people. Establishing KPIs and performance metrics to measure the success of technology and innovation initiatives will also be a key responsibility, along with monitoring progress, analyzing results, and preparing regular reports and updates for executive leadership. As the Special Projects Lead, you will oversee key technology and innovation initiatives from conception to execution, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource allocation. You will act as a liaison between the CTIO and project teams, providing guidance, direction, and support as needed. Furthermore, you will lead a team of Program and Project managers to facilitate key initiatives around Finastra, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the technology organization. Partnering with HR in workforce management-related activities and providing leadership, mentorship, and support to team members will be essential to promote professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or graduate degree (or equivalent experience) in business administration or similar field.
  • 10+ years of experience in a business management, strategy and operations, or technology program management leadership role.
  • Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives.
  • Experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and departments.
  • Experience in data analysis and budget management.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent program management skills with the ability to manage complex initiatives from inception to completion.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
