About the position

At Topaz Labs, we are seeking a Chief of Staff to the CEO who will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our company. As a full-stack AI company, we specialize in developing, training, and deploying generative AI models for image and video enhancement. Our mission is to maximize the visual quality of photos and videos for over 1 million paying customers, including teams at Apple, Netflix, and NASA. The Chief of Staff will partner closely with the CEO to set and execute the company's strategic goals, ensuring that we continue to lead the industry in innovation and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will oversee and drive critical projects and initiatives that align with our strategic objectives. You will be responsible for preparing and managing executive communications, including presentations, reports, and meeting agendas. Your expertise in software engineering will be essential as you plan, pitch, and execute projects related to engineering best practices and efficiency. This includes streamlining processes, introducing new tools, and refining existing workflows to enhance productivity across the organization. You will also coordinate cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment and collaboration between teams. Effective resource allocation will be a key focus, as you assist in budgeting, staffing, and other operational needs. In addition, you will develop and maintain performance metrics to measure the success of initiatives and overall company performance. Partnering with our Product team, you will conduct research on market trends, competitors, and potential opportunities to inform strategic decisions, providing regular reports and insights to the CEO and leadership team. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including the media, enterprise partners, and customers, will be a critical aspect of your role. You will assist with public relations efforts, handling media inquiries and managing the company's public image. Additionally, you will take on special projects that may range from exploring new business opportunities to addressing urgent matters, supporting the CEO and leadership team in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining top talent. Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing materials for presentations and all hands meetings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technology product management, design, or consulting experience.
  • Demonstrated success driving difficult results with little oversight.
  • Organized and methodical, thrives in ambiguity and complexity.
  • Great writing skills and visual design taste.
  • Able to understand and clearly communicate technical concepts.
