The Chief of Staff to the CIO will enable the CIO to work most effectively with internal and external stakeholders and fulfill commitments to the people we serve, colleagues, and Executive Leadership Team. This role is pivotal in coordinating projects that directly involve the CIO, IT cross-functional teams, and the executive leadership team, ensuring alignment among key company stakeholders. The Chief of Staff is a highly strategic and facilitative role that requires a combination of strategy-mindedness and tactical abilities, as well as a willingness to play an active, behind-the-scenes role. This position is 100% remote and can be performed from anywhere in the US. In this role, you will liaise between the CIO, the IT leadership team, and the broader organization to ensure alignment among stakeholders, effectively articulate company priorities, and understand the breadth of projects within the CIO's purview and how they relate. You will develop and deliver portfolio progress/status to executive leadership and may lead or coordinate cross-functional teams in project execution or other CIO-directed assignments, prepared to make recommendations or support with operationalizing next steps for timely delivery. You will ensure the timely generation of reports, presentations, dashboards, and summaries for a variety of stakeholders, and ensure the CIO is well-prepared and time is leveraged most effectively in a meeting context. This includes working with senior leaders, supporting their ability to prepare for leadership meetings, raise critical issues, and receive needed responses, guidance, or decisions. Additionally, you will manage the IT budget and planning process, working cross-functionally with IT leaders to ensure alignment with the Company's expectations, and be responsible for oversight and compliance with IT purchasing and vendor management processes. Your role will also involve creating or assembling internal content to optimize collaboration and decision-making among the leadership team, coordinating IT processes, procedures, and working to improve existing processes for maximum clarity, efficiency, and success. You will keep the CIO abreast of current IT department and Company climate, including project statuses, new proposals, and opportunities and risk areas related to organization priorities. Finally, you will perform other related duties and activities as required.
