About the position

The Chief of Staff to the CVP of Global Commercial Sales at AMD is a pivotal role that functions as the chief operating officer for the Global Commercial Sales organization. This hands-on position involves managing daily operations, facilitating communication within the management team, and acting as a trusted advisor to the CVP and her staff. The role emphasizes execution excellence, innovation, and collaboration across various functions to support strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Drive Commercial Sales governance model including staff and operational meetings.
• Maintain a calendar of events for internal, customer, and partner engagements.
• Prepare presentations for key internal executive, customer, partner, and public meetings and events.
• Coordinate and manage key corporate deliverables on behalf of the team.
• Work across functional teams for overall strategic planning and program management.
• Drive and enable a culture of innovation within the organization.
• Develop effective partnerships and collaborate with business partners such as HR, Finance, and Legal.
• Manage internal and external communications in partnership with Communications and HR.
• Oversee workforce capacity and capability development including planning, resource management, skill gap analysis, and talent development.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree required; MBA preferred.
• Demonstrated project and program leadership success.
• Recent and thorough experience in the hi-tech industry, with a preference for the PC industry.
• Proactive and execution-focused leadership style.
• Skilled in developing and sustaining positive interpersonal relationships.
• A track record of creativity and innovation in solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Action and results-oriented with the ability to make decisions quickly.
• High level of proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and in data manipulation, analysis, and presentation.
