About the position

The Chief of Staff to the President at Aon Corporation is a pivotal role that involves working closely with the President to ensure the successful execution of both short and long-term strategic goals. This position is responsible for facilitating key initiatives, managing executive communications, and driving the completion of various projects aligned with the firm's 3x3 Plan. The Chief of Staff will also play a crucial role in prioritizing initiatives and leveraging global teams to achieve desired outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Identify the President's priorities and strategically align their time with these priorities.
  • Serve as a sounding board to the President, providing objective perspectives on various issues.
  • Lead initiatives aligned with the 3x3 Plan and facilitate the development and measurement of goals across initiatives.
  • Act as a thought partner to brainstorm and identify solutions to challenges.
  • Drive the development, execution, and continuous improvement of standards and best practices.
  • Liaise with key leaders across various departments to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Manage Executive/Leadership Team meetings, setting agendas and driving performance on key action items.
  • Support talent strategy by sponsoring organizational development initiatives.
  • Drive central communication efforts, including drafting communications and coordinating across teams.
  • Support financial activities, including budgeting and tracking/reporting.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience leading teams across various functions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including strong public speaking abilities.
  • Strong consulting skills to identify organizational needs and articulate problems clearly.
  • Financial acumen to understand and improve financial results in collaboration with CFOs.
  • Strong influencing skills to ensure progress on initiatives and alignment of internal teams.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and delegate appropriately.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or higher-learning certification preferred.
  • Experience in change management and strategic planning.
