About the position

The Chief of Staff to the CEO at PlanITROI is a pivotal role that provides proactive support to the CEO in various business tasks, including project management, research, and communication. The position requires exceptional organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel. The Chief of Staff will assist in preparing for acquisitions, manage the CEO's brand and charities, and coordinate both internal and external events, all while ensuring the CEO's schedule is effectively managed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the CEO's professional activities and manage their schedule.
  • Provide active support to the CEO in preparing for acquisitions, including research.
  • Manage the CEO's brand through social media engagement.
  • Assist in managing the CEO's charities, TechTuesday 501c3 and Digital Dreams Project.
  • Manage industry relationships and engagements, including meetings and speaking events.
  • Organize internal offsite events and town halls, requiring some travel.
  • Coordinate external events the CEO is involved in, approximately 7 per year, which may require travel.
  • Daily scheduling of the CEO's appointments and meetings.
  • Manage the CEO's interaction with a 52-week calendar, planning ahead.
  • Take notes during meetings not attended by the CEO and provide distilled summaries.
  • Transfer the CEO's institutional knowledge into an SOP/Playbook by the end of 2025.
  • Coordinate agreements, RFPs, and complex correspondence.
  • Conduct research to find experts in relevant fields and set up meetings with them.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously using effective project management tools.
  • Create and manage PowerPoint presentations as needed.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as Chief of Staff supporting C-level executives.
  • Acquisition experience preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Google Suite and SharePoint.
  • Strong calendar and meeting management skills.
  • Experience in contract management and editing.
  • Experience in brand management and managing a CEO's social media presence.
  • Proven ability to build industry relationships and network effectively.
  • Advanced organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong project management and research skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience and preference for remote work, specifically in Eastern Time.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • High energy, sense of urgency, and accountability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the IT asset disposition or reverse logistics industry.
  • Familiarity with non-profit management and charity work.
