About the position

The Chief of Staff to the President / Director of Strategy at Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) will serve as a strategic partner, supporting internal operations and navigating complex challenges. This role is pivotal in helping senior leaders set and achieve strategic objectives while overseeing the execution of key initiatives across the organization. The Chief of Staff will manage executive meetings, project management, and performance monitoring to drive growth and align with VEG's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Run executive meetings with clear agendas, follow-ups, and check-ins.
  • Oversee strategy at VEG, working with executives to establish near-term and long-term goals.
  • Own the strategic planning process and act as a trusted advisor to the executive team.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the President, discussing ideas and acting as a proxy when needed.
  • Manage large, cross-functional projects, ensuring accountability and successful completion.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
  • Create systems and processes to streamline operations and drive growth initiatives.
  • Lead agenda setting for quarterly board meetings and manage follow-ups.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in business operations, program management, or strategic planning.
  • Strong motivation and drive to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and identify key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to create risk-mitigating plans.
  • Willingness to work in the office at HQ in White Plains, NY, 4 days a week.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
