About the position

The Chief of Staff to the Superintendent at North Little Rock School District is an executive leadership role responsible for supporting the Superintendent in executing daily organizational strategies, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering communication within the district. This position involves strategic planning, project management, and acting as a liaison between the Superintendent and various departments, ensuring alignment with the district's strategic goals and priorities focused on student achievement and organizational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Superintendent in executing daily organizational strategies and improving operational efficiency.
  • Act as a liaison between the Superintendent and all other departments.
  • Assist in strategic planning and project management to align with the district's vision and goals.
  • Supervise key department heads including the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of Human Resources.
  • Lead special projects and initiatives to advance the institution's priorities.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for the Superintendent, highlighting progress and challenges.
  • Coordinate and monitor the progress of organizational initiatives and ensure timely completion of key deliverables.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on political and governmental matters affecting the district.
  • Facilitate communication between the executive team and departments to foster collaboration.
  • Monitor feedback from stakeholders to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • 7-10 years of executive level leadership experience.
  • Strong management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in project management and strategic planning.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in educational administration or school district operations.
  • Knowledge of state and local education policies and regulations.
  • Familiarity with budget management and fiscal responsibility.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $118,590.85 - $147,315.55 per year.
  • Full-time position with a work schedule of 245 days.
