About the position

My Pet's Vet is seeking an experienced veterinarian to fill the role of Medical Director/Chief of Staff at a newly built hospital in Summerville, SC. This position offers the opportunity to lead and mentor a team in a supportive, doctor-centric environment that values autonomy in medical practice. The role includes overseeing a modern veterinary practice equipped with advanced medical technology and facilities, while also fostering strong relationships with clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of veterinarians and support staff.
• Oversee the operations of the veterinary hospital.
• Ensure high standards of medical care and client service.
• Develop and implement wellness plans for patients.
• Collaborate with fellow Chiefs of Staff and medical officers to enhance practice standards.

Requirements

• DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience in veterinary medicine, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with advanced veterinary technologies such as digital x-ray and ultrasound.
• Leadership experience in a veterinary practice setting.
