About the position

1910 Genetics is a Series A stage biotechnology company that is pioneering a novel Input-Transform-Output (ITO™) platform as the first ever horizontal AI infrastructure for drug discovery. In a crowded space with hundreds of AI drug discovery companies, 1910's ITO™ platform is differentiated by its modality-agnostic drug discovery capabilities, which allow for the design of both small and large molecule therapeutics across various disease areas, initially focusing on neuroscience, oncology, and autoimmune diseases. The company utilizes proprietary massive multimodal data to overcome the data scarcity problem that often hinders the application of frontier AI models in drug discovery. Additionally, 1910 employs multi-AI agent systems that incorporate a robust collection of frontier AI/ML models, each designed to tackle the multi-parameter optimization challenges inherent in drug discovery and development. The Chief of Staff will play a pivotal role in partnering with the CEO and other members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to harmonize departmental goals across various groups, including AI Research, Engineering, Product, Computational Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Biology, Business Development, and Operations. This position involves collaborating with the SLT to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company's mission and long-term objectives. The Chief of Staff will oversee the development and implementation of operational processes aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency, including the establishment of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and optimize performance at both the functional and company levels. In addition to operational oversight, the Chief of Staff will support strategic discussions with existing and prospective investors, prepare presentation materials for investors, and assist the CEO in negotiations with potential partners. The role also includes developing analytics capabilities to provide real-time insights on operational performance and optimizing performance across the company's vision, hiring, fundraising, and business development efforts. This position requires a high level of collaboration, urgency, and ownership, as well as a passion for leveraging AI to transform drug discovery and development.
