The Chief of Staff position at a confidential investment firm is designed to support the CEO by managing critical business priorities and leveraging senior management. The role requires a highly organized, emotionally intelligent individual with a strong track record of success, particularly in fast-paced environments. This position is integral to the company's entrepreneurial culture and involves strategic planning, project management, and effective communication across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide planning and support, including project management and analytical support for strategic initiatives.
  • Demonstrate clear instincts for prioritization and proactively identify opportunities to add value to the CEO and senior management team.
  • Handle the day-to-day management of business planning and operational processes.
  • Manage multiple agendas and conduct daily briefings to assess delivery against deadlines and deliverables.
  • Lead the development and execution of internal communications and logistics for key events, including staff meetings and executive travel.
  • Support the CEO in preparing impactful presentations for clients and internal meetings.
  • Attend meetings with the CEO, communicate key information, and manage follow-ups and actions.
  • Develop strong networks and working relationships across the company to accomplish tasks on behalf of the CEO.
  • Work closely with the CEO's EAs to manage prioritization of schedules and meetings.

Requirements

  • Former investment banker in the Technology/Software/FinTech sector preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize demands.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and interact with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Proven influencing skills with success in building relationships and achieving milestones.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong process management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with accountability and ownership of processes.
  • Demonstrated success working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technology and/or strategy background is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree from a reputable University with a 3.5 GPA or higher.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $120-$150k base.
  • Flexible work arrangement: 3 days in the office, 2 days at home.
