About the position

The Chief of Staff position at a leading Solar Energy provider in the U.S. is a strategic role that supports the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in coordinating and planning company strategy. This individual will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including the board and C-suite executives, to ensure alignment and effective communication across the organization. The role requires a resourceful individual with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and exceptional analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Orchestrating projects or commitments directly involving the Chief Executive Officer and his direct reports
  • Work with executive staff to align actions and communications in support of agreed-upon goals
  • Update the Chief Executive Officer on project status and variations from schedule or scope
  • Oversee preparation for, and facilitation of the CEO's meetings with executive leadership, current or potential partners, capital providers, industry leaders, and the Board of Directors
  • Confirm objectives for upcoming meetings and recommend best approaches
  • Attend meetings, capture major takeaways, and work with the executive team to ensure follow-through
  • Develop and/or coordinate communications throughout the company

Requirements

  • A Masters in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience is required
  • A minimum of five years of professional experience in strategic consulting, investment banking, or analytics-driven roles
  • Willingness to work hard and take direction but also creatively solve problems for which the answers aren't always obvious
  • Knowledge of Renewable industry and key stakeholders in the solar space is desirable but not essential
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal; and interpersonal savvy
  • A results and action orientation with excellent project management skills, including a high attention to detail and the ability to problem solve and work on projects with minimal supervision
  • Proactive, with the initiative to identify and take on critical projects, as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously
