About the position

The Chief of Staff for League One Volleyball (LOVB) will serve as a strategic advisor and operational leader, directly reporting to the President of the Pro League. This role is essential for driving the league's vision, aligning cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring the efficient execution of strategic priorities. The Chief of Staff will play a pivotal role in decision-making, league operations, and stakeholder management, contributing to the growth and empowerment of women in sports.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison with staff, executives, senior leaders, and the CEO regarding company climate and project updates.
  • Support the President of Pro by participating in meetings, documenting discussions, and ensuring follow-up tasks are completed.
  • Prepare and review communications, reports, and presentations on behalf of the President of the Pro League.
  • Support oversight of the Pro league's financial performance, ensuring adherence to budgetary goals and P&L targets.
  • Collaborate with teams responsible for sponsorship, media rights, and marketing to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Drive key projects that enhance organizational performance, including league operations and marketing initiatives.
  • Serve as the liaison between the President of the Pro League and key internal/external stakeholders.
  • Provide support for executive decision-making through research, analysis, and report preparation.
  • Attend key meetings with the President of the Pro League, ensuring alignment on follow-up actions.
  • Oversee special initiatives and mentor department heads to align their goals with league objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in a leadership role within professional sports, entertainment, or a related consumer-oriented industry.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in managing P&L, budgeting, and driving revenue growth.
  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and driving large-scale projects to completion.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with high-profile stakeholders.
