About the position

The Chief of Staff at 1910 Genetics will play a pivotal role in harmonizing departmental goals across various teams, including AI Research, Engineering, Product, and more, to ensure alignment with the company's overarching strategy. This position is designed for an entrepreneurial individual who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is passionate about leveraging computation in drug discovery.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to align departmental goals with corporate strategy.
• Work collaboratively with leaders across multiple departments to ensure they meet their goals and contribute to the company's objectives.
• Manage diverse teams with varying backgrounds and skills to drive unified progress.
• Assist the CEO in managing the Board of Directors and overall company operations.
• Foster a culture of urgency and ownership within the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in venture-backed biotechnology or technology startups.
• Previous experience in management consulting, venture capital, or private equity.
• MBA from a top business school is ideal; a PhD in life sciences is a strong plus but not required.
• Exceptional sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ownership mindset and collaborative spirit.
