The Chief of Staff to the Dean at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law is a pivotal leadership role within the Dean's Office, responsible for advancing the strategic goals of the Law School and ensuring effective coordination across various constituencies. This full-time, benefits-eligible faculty position is designed for a renewable, long-term appointment at the rank of Lecturer in Law, which is non-tenure-eligible. The Chief of Staff will report directly to the Dean and will be involved in a wide range of confidential, complex, and sensitive executive, advisory, and strategic matters. In this role, the Chief of Staff will collaborate closely with the Dean, Senior Leadership Team, faculty, staff, students, and alumni to advance initiatives and ensure organized follow-up on projects and priorities. The Law School prides itself on serving a diverse group of internal and external constituents, and the successful candidate will need to work effectively across these varied communities. Additionally, there may be opportunities to teach courses that are strategically valuable to the Law School, further enhancing the educational mission of the institution. Candidates for this position must possess a J.D. degree or an equivalent advanced law degree from a U.S. or foreign law school. Northwestern Pritzker Law is seeking applicants with substantial administrative and management experience, proven leadership and communication skills, and a strong commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the academic environment. Preferred qualifications include experience working within a law school setting, particularly in roles such as faculty director or associate dean, as well as teaching experience and familiarity with change management processes.
