About the position

The Chief of Staff at JFHQ-DODIN is responsible for overseeing staff functions, resource management, and day-to-day operations. This role involves providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership, establishing policies for effective operations, and ensuring the efficient use of personnel and financial resources. The Chief of Staff will also manage correspondence with various defense agencies and supervise subordinate staff, making it a critical position within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Direct control over staff functions including resource management and human resources.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the JFHQ-DODIN staff activities.
  • Provide recommendations to senior leadership regarding management processes.
  • Write and coordinate policies and instructions for new programs or changes.
  • Establish policies and procedures for effective operations in HQ operations, planning, and budget execution.
  • Identify Command shortfalls and recommend improvement approaches through analysis.
  • Provide managerial, technical, and administrative oversight for directorate areas of responsibility.
  • Respond to correspondence and tasking from various defense agencies and commands.
  • Supervise JFHQ-DODIN Directors and subordinate staff.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Experience in directing or managing resource management and human resources.
  • Experience managing day-to-day business operations related to planning and coordination of cyber operations.
  • Ability to maintain security clearance and readiness for 24-hour recall to duty.
