About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief of Staff to join our executive team. The Chief of Staff will play a crucial role in supporting the Owner in driving strategic initiatives, managing operations, hiring and onboarding, and enhancing overall organizational effectiveness. This position requires a dynamic leader with exceptional project management and human resource skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to navigate complex challenges while fostering collaboration. Seniors with extensive experience are encouraged to come out of retirement and engage.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Owner and senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans that align with organizational goals.
  • Oversee key projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage daily operations, optimizing processes for efficiency and effectiveness. Must know Quickbooks.
  • Facilitate communication between personnel to promote transparency and collaboration.
  • Lead business development initiatives, identifying opportunities for growth and partnerships. Past government contracting a plus.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with external stakeholders to support organizational objectives.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational performance.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials for executive/sales meetings.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles with a strong track record in project management and operations management.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Demonstrated expertise in business development and strategic planning.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on team building and process improvement.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred. Must know Quickbooks.
