About the position

The Chief of Staff at SCAN Group plays a pivotal role in managing the office of the assigned division, supporting the Executive/C-suite in executing division strategy and operations. This position serves as a strategic advisor, ensuring alignment among leaders on core tasks and consistent messaging across departments, while also representing the Executive/C-suite in various capacities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic initiatives aligned with Executive Leadership's mission requiring cross-department partnership.
  • Act as the point of contact for Executive Leadership to align senior leaders.
  • Guide leaders across departments to enhance effectiveness in time management, information sharing, and decision-making processes.
  • Support the Executive/C-suite in building relationships with employees, members, business partners, and the community.
  • Provide a communication framework linking the Executive/C-suite with stakeholders.
  • Represent the Executive/C-suite at meetings and events, preparing and delivering communications on their behalf.
  • Consult with the Executive/C-suite and senior leadership to prioritize business strategies and facilitate strategic planning.
  • Oversee research and analysis of business issues to present insights and recommendations for executive decision-making.
  • Manage cross-functional and division-wide projects, coordinating resources and driving projects to completion.
  • Advise the Executive/C-suite on significant organizational matters, providing a comprehensive view of business issues and opportunities.
  • Coordinate and perform special projects as needed, maintaining staff through recruitment, orientation, and training.
  • Develop reports to keep the President's Office informed of major milestones and challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Graduate or Advanced Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Managed Care with progressively responsible management experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in executive-level management and leadership.
  • Strong strategic thinking capability and planning for short and long-range goals.
  • Excellent analytical and management skills.
  • Expert knowledge of business operations at the strategic level.
  • Excellent project management skills with experience in large and/or long-term projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with creative solutions for ambiguous issues.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills, with strong presentation abilities.
  • Strong understanding of systems in a managed care setting.
  • Ability to effectively present information to Board, clients, regulators, and other stakeholders.
