About the position

The Chief of Staff (COS) at Thread Inc. is a pivotal role within the leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. This position is responsible for managing business operations, supporting strategic initiatives, and interfacing with the executive team. The COS will drive strategy and operational excellence, ensuring alignment with the company's mission and objectives while fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and assistance to the CEO to maintain Threads mission, vision, and values.
  • Act on behalf of the CEO to answer inquiries and address day-to-day operations.
  • Anticipate needs and provide support to ensure the CEO is knowledgeable of current project progress.
  • Organize and prioritize critical issues and required information for the CEO.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and execute strategic initiatives aligned with the company's objectives.
  • Foster collaboration and communication across different departments to ensure alignment and efficient execution of company-wide initiatives.
  • Drive operational and administrative efficiencies within Thread.
  • Analyze relevant data and metrics to provide insights that support decision-making and drive performance improvements.
  • Manage and oversee critical projects, ensuring they align with organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7 years of proven experience in a strategic and operational role within a mid-sized non-profit organization.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presentation).
  • Proven experience partnering with a variety of stakeholders (internal and external) of varying levels of seniority.
  • Strong quantitative skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive workstreams.
  • Superior problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Highly proficient with Google Suite and Salesforce or similar CRM.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional initiatives.
