The Chief of Staff at the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) is a pivotal role that involves overseeing the day-to-day internal management of the organization. As PRRI continues to grow, the Chief of Staff will be tasked with building the necessary systems and infrastructure to ensure organizational efficiency and sustainability. This position requires close collaboration with the CEO and the talented team of research, communications, and programmatic professionals at PRRI, providing the resources and support needed to achieve their goals. The Chief of Staff will also be responsible for overseeing the organization's human resources, technology, and financial administration, ensuring that all departments work cohesively towards common objectives. In this role, the Chief of Staff will coordinate work between PRRI's various departments, including research, communications, external affairs, and development, to ensure that organizational priorities, goals, and deadlines are met. The position will involve planning and facilitating staff meetings and communications to promote effective information sharing and decision-making. Additionally, the Chief of Staff will evaluate and revise internal systems, policies, and procedures to enhance operational performance and promote best practices. The Chief of Staff will engage with the President and senior team to manage the current and future organizational structure and cultural change, ensuring that the organization remains adaptable and responsive to its environment. A significant aspect of this role will be to work with the senior team on human resources strategy, ensuring that all decisions related to staff hiring, management, performance, compensation, professional development, and retention are made thoughtfully. Furthermore, the Chief of Staff will manage the organization's finances, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance, while also ensuring that employees have the necessary technology resources for their work and addressing any issues that arise. Finally, the Chief of Staff will support the President in preparing agendas and materials for Board meetings and maintaining communication with the Board.
