About the position

The Chief of Staff at Cydecor plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the company operates efficiently and effectively, with the right operational controls, administrative procedures, and people systems in place to support growth. This position is essential for translating strategic objectives into actionable plans, overseeing business initiatives from development through execution, and ensuring that the organization remains aligned with its corporate goals. The Chief of Staff will work closely with the CEO, assisting in decision-making and the implementation of initiatives that drive the company forward. In this role, the Chief of Staff will serve as a liaison between staff, executives, and senior leaders, fostering a positive company culture and ensuring employee welfare. The position requires a strong focus on organizational structure, with responsibilities that include reviewing and designing improvements to processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity. The Chief of Staff will also be responsible for daily operations, collaborating with the executive team and department leaders to manage the corporate calendar and utilize Office365 productivity tools effectively. Additionally, the Chief of Staff will track actions and hold managers accountable for task completion, support the development and implementation of the organization's strategic plan, and oversee the performance management system. This role involves leading special projects that require cross-functional collaboration and strategic planning, as well as maintaining a strong company culture that promotes engagement and morale. The Chief of Staff will provide timely and accurate reports on the company's operating condition, fostering an environment of accountability and success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution.
  • Assist and communicate with the CEO in decision-making and initiative implementation.
  • Review, design, and execute improvements to organizational structure.
  • Improve current processes and optimize organizational procedures for efficiency and productivity.
  • Serve as liaison with staff, executives, senior leaders, and CEO regarding company culture, employee welfare, project updates, and executive planning.
  • Handle inquiries, develop action plans, and assist with preparation and dissemination of communications.
  • Manage daily operations in collaboration with the executive team and department leaders.
  • Track actions and hold managers and staff accountable to complete tasking.
  • Support the development and implementation of the organization's strategic plan.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to improve and implement an effective onboarding process for new hires.
  • Lead and manage special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Executive team.
  • Support the development and maintenance of a strong company culture, fostering engagement, morale, and sense of belonging.
  • Collaborate with the management team to implement plans for infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate growth objectives.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports on the operating condition of the company.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in management or executive role within DoD GovCon.
  • Three years experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels (peers, workforce, leaders, C-suite, Board).
  • Experience in planning, leading, tracking, and measuring strategic initiatives.
  • Possess strong leadership, business acumen, and effective decision-making skills.
  • Skilled in organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development.
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.
  • Attention to detail in communication, presentation, follow-through, and task completion.
  • Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to corporate mission.
  • Flexible and able to multitask; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Three years prior Active Duty experience preferred.
  • Master's degree in business or related field preferred.
