About the position

The Chief of Staff at Crossroads Church serves as a strategic advisor and key collaborator, playing a vital role in the successful implementation of the church's vision for multicultural and racial unity both within the church and in the broader community. This position requires close collaboration with Crossroads leadership and strategic partners, including UNDIVIDED, to support initiatives focused on racial healing and justice. The Chief of Staff will foster a culture of diversity and belonging, grounded in a Kingdom perspective, actively promoting understanding and respect for cultural differences to create an inclusive environment that values the unique qualities of each individual. In this role, the Chief of Staff will utilize strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze complex issues, making informed, data-driven decisions that align with the ministry's mission and objectives. The position involves proactively identifying potential challenges and creating contingency plans to ensure effective implementation of strategies. The Chief of Staff will lead, inspire, and motivate cross-functional teams, delegating tasks to enhance productivity while mentoring emerging leaders within the church and other organizations to foster growth and development. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing and verbal communication skills, as the role involves negotiating on behalf of the ministry, building and maintaining relationships, and managing conflicts with diplomacy. Strong project management skills are essential to keep projects on track, meet deadlines, optimize resources, manage budgets, and improve processes for efficiency. The Chief of Staff must handle sensitive information with discretion, make ethical decisions, and remain calm under pressure. A commitment to advancing racial reconciliation in the church is crucial, along with a focus on both spiritual and relational well-being, demonstrating abilities as a committed follower and effective leader.

Requirements

  • Bachelor-level degree or equivalent college experience preferred.
  • Exceptional ability to write long-form and short-form content along with strong verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills to keep projects on track by meeting deadlines and optimizing resources.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and make decisions grounded in ethical judgment.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment while staying curious and committed to continuous learning and growth.
  • Skilled in using project management tools such as Asana and Monday, as well as CRM systems.
