About the position

The Chief of Staff at Sofar Ocean will work closely with the CEO to provide strategic and operational support across the organization. This role is crucial for driving the execution of key business initiatives, aligning cross-functional teams with the company's goals, and supporting the CEO in setting and executing the company's strategic vision. The Chief of Staff will ensure operational efficiency, manage high-impact projects, and foster a collaborative culture within the company, contributing to the growth and success of Sofar's ocean intelligence platform.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO to develop and execute business strategies, ensuring alignment across departments.
• Serve as a bridge between leadership teams and the CEO, facilitating communication and ensuring smooth operations.
• Identify and prioritize operational challenges, streamline processes, and drive improvements.
• Provide high-level insights, data analysis, and recommendations to support the CEO in decision-making.
• Lead and oversee high-impact projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business objectives.
• Assist the CEO with fundraising activities and manage relationships with investors.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in operations, business strategy, or a similar role, ideally in a tech startup or high-growth environment.
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership.
• Strategic thinker with analytical abilities, capable of synthesizing data and making data-driven recommendations.
• Experience working closely with executives and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
