About the position

The Chief of Staff position at PG&E Corporation is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing business management processes, budgeting, performance measurement, and employee engagement initiatives for the Vice President of Electric Transmission & Distribution Engineering. This role involves leading complex projects, coordinating executive communications, and ensuring alignment with the company's mission and vision. The Chief of Staff will also play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead KPI development and Lean Operating System implementation in collaboration with the VP's Direct Reports.
  • Organize and facilitate DORs, WORs, and MORs to ensure effectiveness of reviews.
  • Develop and shape content for various executive forums to execute key strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate, analyze, and determine action plans to address improvement opportunities across the organization.
  • Manage coordination of employee engagement programs and co-worker development initiatives.
  • Take on ad hoc projects to support the organization's needs with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure all strategic planning and business management processes align with PG&E's mission and vision.
  • Collaborate with leaders to develop and review budgetary requirements and support strategic goals.
  • Establish and support governance, risk, and compliance processes for operational plans.
  • Plan and support various meetings and communications for vice presidents and managers.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8 years of experience in business or job-related fields.
  • Experience in Resource Planning or related fields.
  • Experience in risk management, Utility Industry, or related fields.
  • Strong process understanding and experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to persuade and influence while being diplomatic.
  • Competency in developing and delivering multi-mode communications.
  • Competency in planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments.
  • Competency in solving complex problems with contradictory information.
  • Competency in providing direction and removing obstacles to get work done.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree, MBA, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Operational Planning.
