About the position

The Chief of Staff at KanREN is a pivotal leadership role focused on driving alignment across departments with the organization's strategic goals. This position collaborates closely with the Executive Director to prioritize initiatives and manage major projects, ensuring operational tasks are executed smoothly. The Chief of Staff also represents KanREN to external stakeholders, facilitating communication between technical and business teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cross-departmental projects to achieve organizational goals efficiently.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between teams to support alignment with objectives.
  • Lead internal and external projects, collaborating with stakeholders for successful implementation.
  • Oversee project execution, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively.
  • Develop and implement frameworks for project tracking and performance monitoring.
  • Coordinate initiatives related to member and organizational growth and development.
  • Support the development of the service catalog, ensuring services are well-defined and aligned with member needs.
  • Manage internal and external communications, ensuring timely dissemination of information to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate marketing strategies and oversee promotional campaigns to enhance visibility.
  • Collaborate with external partners and vendors for marketing and service-related efforts.
  • Assist the Executive Director in setting strategic goals and prioritizing key initiatives.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a nonprofit or technology-focused organization.
  • Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Experience using CRM and financial tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with QuickBooks and Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Asana, Microsoft Project, and Slack.
