About the position

The Chief of Staff at CREW Carbon will oversee and enhance operational and strategic initiatives, supporting the CEO and executive team in achieving key business milestones. This role involves team management, project management, partnership oversight, and corporate development, all aimed at driving the company's success in the climate-tech sector.

Responsibilities

  • Support cross-functional teams across operations, strategy, engineering, and sales/business development.
  • Run point on the search process for key hires, including wastewater engineers, account managers, and science team lab technicians.
  • Help organize and run regular, recurring meetings such as all-hands and sales pipeline reviews.
  • Implement and manage project management structures and tools to ensure timely completion of strategic workstreams.
  • Manage day-to-day operational activities related to wastewater treatment plant hardware and feedstock deliveries.
  • Provide oversight to existing partnership agreements and ensure effective delivery of contract requirements.
  • Support the creation of outward-facing materials to communicate CREW's mission and progress.
  • Support investor and stakeholder relations, building systems for updates.
  • Provide confidential advice on strategic direction and initiatives.
  • Assist in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of work experience in management consulting, strategy, or similar high-performance environments.
  • Proven project management experience with a track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to develop actionable solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Passion for climate change mitigation and a desire to make an impact in the climate-tech space.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in or consulting for startups, particularly in high-growth or early-stage companies.
  • Experience in industries with a hardware, chemical, or infrastructure component.
  • Familiarity with operations in climate-tech or environmental sectors.
