About the position

The position is responsible for managing and directing the overall operations of a specialty hospital, ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare services. The role involves providing leadership to meet strategic objectives, enforcing policies, and overseeing clinical and nursing departments to ensure compliance with standards and regulations. The individual will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of safety and quality, managing budgets, and responding to community healthcare needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, direct, coordinate, and control overall hospital operations.
  • Provide leadership to ensure strategic objectives are met and quality healthcare services are delivered.
  • Initiate and enforce organization-wide policies and procedures to support hospital objectives.
  • Oversee nursing and clinical departments to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Direct strategic planning for the hospital in collaboration with the Market CEO.
  • Develop, interpret, and communicate hospital policies and operational procedures to department managers.
  • Maintain a system to verify licensure, qualifications, and competency of nursing staff.
  • Serve on the Hospital Quality Council and support continuous quality initiatives.
  • Develop and monitor the hospital budget, ensuring operations stay within approved limits.
  • Respond to community healthcare needs by monitoring the adequacy of medical activities.
  • Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Conduct and applicable laws.
  • Promote a positive work environment and high employee morale.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements and maintain survey readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, or clinical specialty required.
  • Registered Nurse license in the state required.
  • Five years of experience in healthcare administration/management, with a minimum of two years at a senior nursing management level in a hospital setting.
  • Two years of prior COO or CEO level experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Graduate level education may substitute for required experience on a year-to-year basis.
