About the position
The Chief Operating Officer / Chief Clinical Officer at ScionHealth is responsible for managing and directing the overall operations of a hospital, ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare services. Responsibilities
- Manage, direct, coordinate, and control overall hospital operations.
- Provide leadership to ensure strategic objectives are met and quality healthcare services are delivered.
- Initiate and enforce organization-wide policies and procedures to support hospital objectives.
- Oversee nursing and clinical departments to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety and encourage employees to identify safety issues.
- Develop, interpret, and communicate hospital policies and operational procedures.
- Contribute to and lead initiatives outlined in the Strategic Quality Plan.
- Monitor hospital budget and ensure operations remain within approved limits.
- Ensure appropriate staffing plans for hospital departments.
- Serve on the hospital executive committee and attend governing board meetings.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
- Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, or clinical specialty required.
- Registered Nurse in the state.
- Five years of experience in healthcare administration/management, with a minimum of two years at a senior nursing management level in a hospital setting.
- Two years of prior COO or CEO level experience preferred.
