About the position

The Chief Operating Officer / Chief Clinical Officer at ScionHealth is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of a hospital, ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare services while managing clinical, ancillary, and support departments. This role involves strategic planning, policy development, budget management, and compliance with healthcare regulations, all aimed at enhancing patient care and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage, direct, coordinate, and control overall hospital operations.
• Provide leadership to ensure strategic objectives are met and quality healthcare services are delivered.
• Initiate and enforce organization-wide policies and procedures to support hospital objectives.
• Oversee nursing and clinical departments to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Promote a culture of safety and quality within the hospital.
• Develop, interpret, and communicate hospital policies and operational procedures to department managers.
• Monitor and manage the hospital budget to ensure financial compliance.
• Ensure appropriate staffing plans are in place for all hospital departments.
• Serve on the hospital executive committee and attend governing board meetings.
• Act as Privacy Officer, implementing necessary privacy policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, or clinical specialty required.
• Registered Nurse in the state.
• Five years of experience in healthcare administration/management, with at least two years at a senior nursing management level in a hospital setting.
• Two years of prior COO or CEO level experience preferred.
