About the position

This position is responsible for overseeing the operations of Banner Behavioral Health, ensuring service excellence, quality clinical outcomes, and financial integrity across multiple facilities. The role involves leadership in developing and implementing standards, policies, and procedures aligned with the organization's strategic initiatives, while serving as a primary advisor to senior management. The position emphasizes a service-oriented culture focused on employee engagement, patient safety, and overall patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote high performance expectations for the leadership/management team to improve care experience, quality, and efficiency.
• Maintain knowledge of current clinical practices and regulatory requirements, demonstrating continuous learning.
• Establish a shared-governance structure and maintain strong relationships with medical staff and academic institutions.
• Provide leadership and development for staff, promoting continuous quality improvement and company values.
• Participate in strategic planning and identify opportunities for service growth and improvement.
• Foster collaboration within a matrixed team environment to enhance patient experience.
• Serve as an integral member of hospital operations and system leadership teams, directing comprehensive clinical services.
• Oversee financial stewardship and efficient resource utilization for designated operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in a relevant discipline, with at least one in nursing.
• Minimum of seven to ten years of nursing leadership and management experience.
• Licensure as a professional nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
• Proven experience in nursing leadership with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement.
• Experience in maintaining a patient-centered, healing environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Demonstrated progress toward FACHE certification or nursing leadership certification.
• Prior experience in a highly matrixed organization and integrated delivery systems.
