About the position

Europa Sports, a leader in the distribution of sports nutrition and wellness products, was recently acquired by Prenetics (NASDAQ: PRE). HubMatrix is a global logistics company specializing in providing seamless fulfillment services for e-commerce orders and retail customers. Together, we aim to redefine operational excellence in the sports nutrition distribution space. We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead operational transformation, drive efficiency, and position Europa and HubMatrix for future growth. The COO will oversee and optimize Europa Sports' & HubMatrix end-to-end operations with a focus on 3PL (Third-Party Logistics), supply chain management, and digital innovation. This individual will play a pivotal role in leading digital transformation initiatives, scaling operations, and fostering a people-first culture. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of data-driven decision-making, operational excellence, and inspiring leadership, coupled with the ability to deliver innovative solutions that drive measurable business results. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, working closely with the CEO and executive team to ensure the company's vision is realized.

Responsibilities

  • Assess all aspects of Europa Sports' operations and identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and outcomes.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and integrate cutting-edge technologies into workflows.
  • Provide actionable insights on P&L management, cost control, and growth opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with the CEO to develop and execute strategies that position Europa Sports as a leader in the sports nutrition distribution and logistics space.
  • Oversee logistics and freight operations with expertise comparable to industry leaders like FedEx, ensuring best-in-class service levels.
  • Drive the adoption of data-driven practices, using metrics and dashboards to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness across logistics, inventory, and supply chain functions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and customer expectations.
  • Foster a company-wide cultural shift toward collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Lead by example with a hands-on approach, while maintaining a strategic, big-picture focus.
  • Build and maintain a people-first culture, prioritizing employee development and engagement.
  • Bring a founder's mindset to the role, leveraging experience in logistics and 3PL to drive innovation and operational improvements.
  • Identify new market opportunities and growth strategies, positioning Europa Sports for long-term success.
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service and commercial teams to align operational goals with commercial objectives.
  • Manage key functions such as Technology, Finance and HR, ensuring alignment with overall business strategies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for 3PL providers and operational partners, ensuring alignment on service standards and performance metrics.
