About the position

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for the safe and effective day-to-day operations of the appointed hospital, working in partnership with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). The COO oversees various departments and functions, ensuring alignment with the Triple Aim of patient safety and quality, service, and financial performance. This role involves developing a clinical culture that promotes predictable patient outcomes, enhancing employee and patient engagement, and ensuring financial effectiveness while adhering to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve performance objectives across departments.
  • Ensure patient safety and quality by fostering a clinical culture that produces expected outcomes.
  • Maintain accreditation readiness and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Enhance employee, medical staff, and patient engagement and loyalty.
  • Develop a cost-effective operating culture to meet financial performance objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with medical staff and other healthcare providers.
  • Participate in strategic planning to improve the hospital's community relevance.
  • Act as a good corporate citizen and engage with community stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in senior-level roles within a healthcare facility.
  • Strong leadership and inspirational abilities.
  • Ability to manage change and conflict effectively.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Action-oriented disposition with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
