About the position

In this role, you will develop and execute strategies to drive sustainable growth and profitability of the Product. You will work closely with the Medicare CEO, Market CEOs, and other key stakeholders to define, align, and influence business strategies, systematically improving operational execution and efficiency. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure alignment and integration of business strategies with shared services functions and other lines of business. You will effectively manage and/or partner with shared services leaders and their teams to ensure that Medicare enterprise-wide networks, quality and risk, clinical, operational, financial, and leadership expectations are met. This position leads the development of annual business plans and budgets for the Medicare line of business, playing a key role in Medicare bid development. You will create a consistent model and set of annual goals for all Medicare markets, overseeing the development and maintenance of a compliant, competitive provider network that advances value-based provider partnerships. Additionally, you will develop and implement key metrics and performance standards across the organization to review and assess the performance of the business unit, deploying robust governance structures. Identifying and seeking to franchise best approaches and practices across the Medicare markets will be crucial, leveraging solutions that can yield both high quality and cost-effective outcomes. You will lead efforts to identify barriers to operational success of the segment and drive solutions to address business needs, ensuring customer satisfaction. Participation in corporate strategic, internal and external communications and planning will be required, representing the Medicare business. Other duties may be assigned, and compliance with all policies and standards is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to identify barriers to operational success and drive solutions to address business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in Medicare or Managed Care.
  • Prior experience as COO or President of a multi-market and matrixed Medicare organization.
