The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Post-Acute Care (PAC) reports to the President of MaineHealth's Mountain Region and is a key leader in advancing MaineHealth's vision: "Working together so our communities are the healthiest in America." The PAC COO is responsible, in collaboration with other system and entity leaders, for aligning all post-acute care services-including, but not limited to, skilled nursing facilities, home health, hospice, and swing beds-with MaineHealth's goals and strategic direction. This role will build and lead a high-performing leadership team to oversee day-to-day operations, financial and quality performance, and budget management, while executing systemwide PAC strategy. By fostering consistency, efficiency, and enhanced collaboration across the health system, the PAC COO drives integrated planning and unifies all post-acute services under a cohesive operational and strategic framework. Serving as the voice and advocate for post-acute care, the PAC COO enables seamless execution of initiatives, improves coordination, reduces silos, and promotes the adoption of best practices. This integration supports efficient resource allocation and elevates care delivery, resulting in higher quality outcomes and a stronger, more connected continuum of care. In addition to internal alignment, the PAC COO cultivates relationships with external stakeholders-ranging from legislators and policy makers to regional and national leaders in the post-acute care space. This external engagement ensures MaineHealth remains influential, informed, and adaptable within the broader healthcare landscape, while also advancing advocacy and partnership opportunities that benefit patients and communities.
