About the position

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Blend will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for driving operational excellence and scaling the business globally. This role involves strategic leadership, overseeing operational processes, ensuring delivery excellence, and managing financial performance while fostering a high-performing team culture.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the company's strategic plan.
• Provide leadership and direction to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Oversee all operational aspects of the company.
• Develop and implement efficient operational processes and procedures to optimize productivity and streamline workflows.
• Drive operational efficiency and service quality across our global delivery centers.
• Define and develop strategies to optimize our cost-to-serve.
• Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs to ensure profitability and sustainability.
• Build and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks to protect the company's reputation and assets.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of experience in executive leadership roles.
• Experience in a professional services or consulting firm.
• Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
• Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues.
• Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
• Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead effectively through change.
