About the position

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will oversee laboratory facility operations and play a crucial role in the organization's expansion efforts. This full-time, permanent position involves managing various operational aspects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Participation in revisions of standard operating procedures
  • Work with clinical faculty in developing strategies for expansion
  • Establish and secure locations for future Laboratories
  • Maintain scheduled/preventative maintenance of equipment
  • Environmental monitoring
  • Management and documentation of training curriculum
  • Purchasing and inventory management
  • Participate in research proposal planning, cost estimation, and negotiation
  • Support the essential functions of the position and operational needs
  • Think critically to resolve unique issues revolving around a shared work environment and help maintain an environment of collaboration and creativity

Requirements

  • Master Degree in biology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or related field
  • 8 years facility operation experience
  • Prior history of obtaining required CLIA and State Licensure
