About the position

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Restoration Society, Inc. (RSI) is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving operational effectiveness and efficiency within the organization. The COO will oversee day-to-day operations, implement strategic initiatives, and ensure the organization's success and sustainability. This position requires a strong commitment to the organization's culture and vision, leading by example and fostering a productive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Streamline processes and procedures to optimize effectiveness and efficiency across all departments and programs.
  • Monitor key performance outcomes to track achievement and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure service commitments and contracts are executed within the standards outlined within their respective guidelines.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting activities in collaboration with the CFO.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue generation.
  • Lead and mentor the human resources team, ensuring a positive, productive, and compliant work environment.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are developed, implemented, and executed in a compliant manner.
  • Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute strategic plans and initiatives.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the non-profit sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including funders, donors, partners, and community organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, non-profit management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven track record of successful leadership and upper-level strategic management experience in the non-profit sector.
  • Extensive experience working in the field(s) of mental health, substance abuse, and/or rehabilitation.
  • Strong understanding of finances and experience with budgeting, financial management, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with customers, staff, and diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex issues, synthesize opportunities and develop innovative solutions.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a demonstrated understanding of their importance in non-profit organizations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $100,000 - 110,000 annually.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday; On call; Weekends as needed; In-person.
