About the position

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Select Specialty/Regency Hospitals is responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of the hospital, ensuring high-quality patient care and effective management of resources. This role is part of an Administrator In-Training program designed to provide practical experience in a critical illness recovery hospital setting, preparing candidates for future CEO positions. The COO will engage in various training areas, including clinical services, financial management, and regulatory compliance, while promoting a patient-centered culture within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Champion the Select Medical Way by prioritizing patient care and community health.
• Participate in the Administrator In-Training program to gain operational experience.
• Understand the role and responsibilities of a CEO within the hospital and organization.
• Engage in training across clinical services, case management, medical staff relations, marketing, regulatory compliance, financial management, and human resources.
• Forge and develop key relationships necessary for effective hospital leadership.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in a relevant field.
• Three years of managerial experience in a healthcare institution.
• Experience in finance, strategic planning, and community education of health programs.
