About the position

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) position at Select Specialty/Regency Hospitals is part of a division-wide program aimed at preparing candidates for future CEO roles within the organization. This program offers a comprehensive, hands-on experience in managing a critical illness recovery hospital, focusing on operational excellence and patient-centered care. Candidates will undergo a year-long training that encompasses various aspects of hospital administration, including clinical services, financial management, and regulatory compliance, while being mentored by experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

• Champion the Select Medical Way by prioritizing patient care and community health improvement.
• Participate in the Administrator In-Training program to gain operational experience in a critical illness recovery hospital.
• Understand the role and responsibilities of a CEO within the hospital and organization.
• Forge and develop key relationships necessary for effective hospital management.
• Engage in training across clinical services, case management, medical staff relations, marketing, regulatory compliance, financial management, and human resources.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in a relevant field.
• Three years of managerial experience in a healthcare institution, focusing on finance, strategic planning, and community education of health programs.
