About the position

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) at TERSUS Solutions will partner with the CEO to oversee the daily operations of the company, focusing on the growth of various business lines including e-commerce services, PPE decontamination, and down recycling. The role requires a dynamic leader who can drive operational efficiency, build high-performing teams, and implement strategic initiatives to support the company's vision and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute operational strategies for fire/PPE and down recycling businesses.
  • Oversee supply chain and operational management across all lines of business.
  • Ensure efficiency and scalability across warehouses.
  • Manage financial aspects including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Lead human resources functions including talent acquisition and training.
  • Oversee machine manufacturing supply chain management.
  • Drive geographical expansion across North America and globally.
  • Manage technology infrastructure and systems.
  • Expand research and development efforts.
  • Build and lead a high-performing operations team.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
  • Assess and mitigate operational risks.
  • Monitor financial performance metrics to ensure profitability and growth.
  • Partner with CEO in sales management to budget for growth targets.
  • Develop plans for scaling operations to support business growth.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve company goals.

Requirements

  • Proven track record as a COO or in a senior operations role in a relevant startup or high-growth small business.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to build and motivate teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational strategies.
  • Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
  • Willingness to take ownership of tasks and demonstrate a high degree of action.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Experience with logistics, services, hardware-as-a-service, or the retail industry.
