About the position

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will serve as the Executive Vice President of Operations, Logistics, and Fulfillment for a consumer products and nutraceutical manufacturer. This role is pivotal in leading the company's operational strategy to enhance revenue through eCommerce and direct-to-consumer sales channels, while also managing day-to-day operations alongside the CEO and other executives. The COO will focus on building infrastructure, optimizing processes, and leveraging technology to support the company's ambitious growth targets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supply chain, logistics, strategy, inventory planning, operational data integrity, purchasing, customer service, and procurement.
• Provide coaching and guidance to the fulfillment center to ensure organizational excellence.
• Collaborate with the Chief Product Officer on the overall product strategy, including vision and execution.
• Drive positive transformation in operational aspects of the business and build a data-driven team for deep analysis.
• Redesign interactions between fulfillment, customer service, and supply chain to enhance efficiency.
• Develop inventory strategies to maintain ideal levels and maximize cash flow.
• Ensure accurate inventory data across all systems including ERP and eCommerce platforms.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives among executives to enhance service delivery.
• Work with the head of technology to create profitability analyses and dynamic scorecards.
• Lead the development of a dynamic inventory model with the CFO.

Requirements

• Experience in consumer goods, durable goods, industrial products, apparel, wholesale, Big Box Retail, eCommerce, or automotive.
• Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and lead a team.
• Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, excellence, authenticity, accountability, and integrity.
• In-depth knowledge of finance and operations strategies and systems.
