The Massachusetts Council on Gaming and Health (MACGH) is seeking a senior-level employee to oversee the GameSense program and other responsible gambling initiatives. This position is primarily remote and reports directly to the CEO. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, budgets, and the overall operations of the GameSense program. This role also involves developing new funding opportunities and maintaining external relations with various stakeholders in the gaming industry. Key responsibilities include supervising and supporting the GameSense team, leading hiring and training efforts, and overseeing the budget to ensure that the program meets its financial needs. The candidate will meet weekly with the Massachusetts Gaming Commission's Responsible Gaming team to discuss ongoing initiatives and progress. Additionally, the role requires producing quarterly reports and presentations for the Commission, attending and contributing to all relevant meetings of the Massachusetts Gaming Commission and Lottery Commission, and developing educational activities related to responsible gambling. The ideal candidate will possess a master's degree in business, public administration, non-profit management, public health, or human services, along with over 10 years of experience in the public health sector, particularly in problem gambling. At least 7 years of supervisory experience is required. Strong skills in grant writing, fundraising, budgeting, fiscal management, communication, and conflict resolution are essential for success in this role. The candidate will also be expected to maintain relationships with the gaming industry, attend GameSense leadership meetings and conferences, and assist with legislative and advocacy strategies. Travel to New England, Vermont, and Michigan is a requirement of this position.
