About the position

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) at HealthX Partners Incorporated (HXP) will play a pivotal role in steering the organization towards greater impact and efficiency in the global health sector. This position is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and audit management, while also focusing on change management and the establishment of a shared services model. The COO will collaborate closely with the executive team to enhance organizational strategies and ensure the financial health of HXP and its subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HXP's financial strategy, including forecasting capital and staff requirements, evaluating trends, and monitoring financial performance.
  • Support the establishment and implementation of a shared services model to drive global operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with executive teams to enhance organizational strategies by providing financial analysis and recommendations.
  • Supervise and develop team members, setting goals and enhancing individual performance through communication and support.
  • Interact regularly with the CEO, senior leadership, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency in financial operations.
  • Maximize return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities and managing relationships with the investment community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration; Master's Degree preferred.
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 7 years in a supervisory role.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge in multiple financial disciplines including accounting, corporate finance, and budget analysis.
  • Ability to manage complex issues in a global organization and transition between high-level strategy and detailed financial oversight.
  • In-depth knowledge of donor regulations impacting financial policies and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with a focus on employee development and performance enhancement.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills, particularly during organizational change.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in leading and operating within a shared service center is preferred.
  • Fluency in English required; additional language skills preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
