About the position

Parcion Private Wealth is seeking a seasoned Chief Operating Officer (COO) or comparable to join our leadership team, assume the responsibilities of managing the daily operations, drive the operational efficiency and strategic growth of the firm. The Chief Operating Officer will play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing the firm's operational framework, ensuring scalability and efficiency as we continue to grow. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will oversee the administrative and support functions, align operational activities with the firm's strategic vision, and champion initiatives to maintain a premier client experience. This role requires a dynamic leader who excels in strategy, execution, acquisition diligence and team leadership. The COO will be responsible for overseeing our organization's ongoing operations, compliance and administrative functions and to be an active partner in strategic initiatives to help the firm scale in a rapidly growing environment. This position will work with senior leadership to develop a future vision for the firm, implement processes and procedures and manage operations and compliance teams. A key goal for the COO position is to ensure the smooth functioning of the business and to help drive sustainable growth. As a senior member of the firm, the COO will work closely with the CEO and Executive Committee. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CEO and the executive team to execute the firm's strategic business plan, aligning operational goals with the company's culture and vision.
  • Develop and manage firm-wide policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Oversee administrative and support functions, including compliance, human resources, and financial controls.
  • Develop scalable operational frameworks to support growth, emphasizing agility and adaptability in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.
  • Optimize organizational structure to support scalability, efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Establish and maintain metrics-driven accountability across teams to ensure efficiency and excellence.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and communication of streamlined processes and procedures to drive accountability and efficiency.
  • Oversee technology initiatives to enhance operational capabilities, leveraging innovation to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Partner with the Director of Finance + Operations to develop the firm's operating budget, billing, facilities, and vendor relationships.
  • Assume the firm's Compliance leadership position as CCO and ensure firm-wide adherence to compliance standards and quality control measures.
  • Uphold and enhance the firm's commitment to a premier client service delivery model by implementing quality control systems and standards.
  • Coordinate with advisory, client service, investment management and marketing teams to ensure seamless information flow and impactful client interactions.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of strategic initiatives to drive growth of high-quality client service deliverables, and overall firm growth objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities, including operational and financial due diligence.
  • Collaborate with the CPCO, leadership and integration team to integrate and onboard new advisors, teams and clients.
  • Expand the firm's presence in new markets, positioning it as a leader in UHNW wealth management.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the Human Capital program, including benefits, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Partner with the Chief People and Culture Officer (CPCO) to attract, onboard, and develop top talent aligned with the firm's values.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chief Operating Officer, Director of Operations, or a comparable role within a financial services firm.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in financial services, planning, investment management, or wealth advisory services business.
  • In-depth understanding of financial services operations, including compliance, data analysis, and performance metrics.
  • Strong knowledge of operational best practices, information technology, and project management.
  • Experience with and passion for working with business owners to plan for business succession and liquidity events.
  • Excellent communication, business development and presentation skills, and the ability to articulate complex ideas to a variety of audiences.
  • Acute attention to detail and accuracy, commitment to quality, and laser focus on client satisfaction and world-class performance.
  • Exceptionally high emotional intelligence, personal integrity, and accountability.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Background and experience in organizational leadership at a senior level.
  • Broad understanding of business functions such as HR, Accounting, Technology, Operations and Compliance with expertise in an area that can be impactful.
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
  • Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure/Tech Stack and MS Office.
