About the position

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all internal operations of the organization. This role requires a mission-focused individual with experience in scaling organizations and leading executive management teams. The COO will play a crucial role in developing a performance culture and ensuring that the organization delivers measurable, cost-effective results aligned with its vision. A background in the medical field is preferred, and the COO must possess the skills to harness the strengths of team members while maintaining the creative essence of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Advise the president and other key members of senior management on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
• Serve as the management liaison to the board and audit committee; effectively communicate and present critical financial matters at select board of directors and committee meetings.
• Contribute to the development of the company's nonprofit strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organization.
• Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the president informed of all critical issues.
• Represent the organization externally, as necessary, particularly in banking and lease negotiations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a COO or in a similar executive role.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
• Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, sales, and operations.
• Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
