About the position
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Angel Kids Pediatrics will oversee the operational aspects of a large pediatric primary care network with multiple locations. This role is crucial for ensuring high-quality patient care, implementing operational efficiencies, and supporting the expansion of the practice. The COO will lead strategic initiatives, manage resources, and foster collaboration among healthcare teams while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities
- Support the organization in building quality improvement infrastructure, including team-building and improving communication.
- Determine key business issues and develop appropriate action plans.
- Manage performance metrics related to productivity and results reporting.
- Articulate operations of the program, health policy trends, and applicable regulations.
- Design and plan the gathering and analysis of baseline data, providing ongoing support to practitioners.
- Observe, document, and analyze practice operations to identify improvement opportunities.
- Consult with practitioners at each phase of improvement, providing tools and training.
- Provide direct technical support with health information technology (HIT) implementation.
- Assist practices with producing quality reporting for program-specific measures.
- Develop and coordinate outreach efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Business degree and experience in healthcare management, preferably in a pediatric ambulatory care setting.
- Emphasis on value-based care experience.
