About the position

The Chief People and Experience Officer (CPEO) at Vibrant Emotional Health is a strategic leader responsible for shaping the organization's talent and culture strategy. This role focuses on attracting, engaging, developing, and retaining personnel while embedding a talent-focused culture throughout the organization. The CPEO will implement foundational processes and policies to support a diverse and anti-racist workforce, ensuring that the organization aligns with its core values and mission. The position requires collaboration with other leaders to provide insights and strategies that enhance the employee experience and drive organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for the organization's overall talent and culture strategy.
  • Partner with senior leaders to develop a transformational talent agenda designed to recruit, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Build and lead the People Operations team to establish systems, processes, and technology infrastructure for effective HR functions.
  • Protect and uphold the mission and values of the organization, focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Translate employee and organizational needs into relevant HR approaches that add value.
  • Create a compelling talent management function to recruit, motivate, train, and develop high-quality talent.
  • Develop internal communications strategies that are equitable, diverse, inclusive, and accessible.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders on organizational effectiveness, onboarding, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Anticipate key organizational issues and ensure exceptional HR consultancy services are delivered to all managers and team members.
  • Leverage data and analytics to increase employee engagement.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in human resources, training, compensation, and benefits administration in a senior or executive leadership role.
  • Significant HRIS Technology knowledge.
  • Advanced Degree (Masters or JD) in a related field.
  • Experience in building a strong, highly skilled, and engaged workforce.
  • Knowledge of employment and labor law (including collective bargaining, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.).
  • Regulatory experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Law Degree (Specialty and Employment Law)
  • Experience in organizations experiencing significant growth or change.
